Men's Volleyball World Cup 1977
The 1977 Volleyball World Cup was the third edition of the competition. It took place in Japan between November 17th and 29th . The USSR won the title.

- Bulgaria and USA at the invitation of the FIVB

The first round was held in four groups with three teams each. The two best teams in each group qualified for the second round, where they were divided into two groups of four teams each. The group winners and runners-up of the two groups formed the championship group.
