Men's Volleyball World Cup 1991

The 1991 Volleyball World Cup was the seventh edition of the competition. It took place in Japan between November 22nd and December 1st . The USSR won the title.

•  Cuba and USA as winner and runner-up of the NORCECA championship in 1991 
•  Brazil won the 1991 South American Championship
•  Algeria won the 1991 African Cup
•  Germany , Mexico , Iran , Tunisia and Chile at the invitation of the FIVB .

The twelve participants were initially divided into two groups of six teams each. The first three teams of the two groups then formed the final group and the rest played in one group for places seven to twelve.
