Men's Volleyball World Cup 1965

The 1965 Volleyball World Cup was the first edition of the competition. It took place in Poland between September 13th and 19th . The USSR won the title.

The preliminary round was held in three groups. Two of these three groups contained four teams and the third only had three teams. The two best teams in each group qualified for the final round, in which they met in the "everyone against everyone" system.
