The Chilean national volleyball team is a selection of the best Chilean players, who represent the Federación de Voleibol de Chile at international tournaments and internationals.

history

World Championship

In their only participation in a volleyball world championship so far , Chile landed in 1982 in 23rd place.

Olympic games

A Chilean men's national volleyball team has never qualified for the Olympic Games.

South American Championship

At the South American Volleyball Championships in 1956 and 1958, Chile was fifth. The same result happened in 1962 in their own country. Five years later, the Chileans won their first bronze medal. It was followed by three fourth places. In 1975 it was only sixth, and in 1979 Chile was fourth again. In 1981 as hosts and in 1983 the Chileans won bronze again. After two missed tournaments and two fifth places, they repeated this success in 1993. In the next few years they were twice fourth and three times sixth. After the fifth place in 2005, the title fights took place in 2007 for the third time in Chile and the host reached fourth place.

World cup

At the 1995 World Cup , Chile finished twelfth.

World league

The world league has so far taken place without Chilean participation.
