The Uruguayan national volleyball team for men is a selection of the best Uruguayan players, who represent the Federación Uruguaya de Voleibol in international tournaments and internationals.

history

World Championship

At the volleyball world championship in 1960, Uruguay finished 13th.

Olympic games

Uruguay has never qualified for the Olympic Games.

South American Championship

At the first South American volleyball championship , Uruguay was only beaten by hosts Brazil . Five years later they took revenge in their own country and in 1958 the Uruguayans came third. After a weaker tournament in 1962 (sixth), they finished third, fourth and third before they lost the final against Brazil as hosts again in 1971. At the next championship, the defending champion was missing, who was then fourth again. From 1979 to 2001 Uruguay was always there and the results fluctuated between fourth and ninth place. The 2007 South American Championship finished Uruguay in seventh place.

World cup

In the World Cup Uruguay has not yet played.

World league

The world league has also taken place without Uruguayan participation so far.
