Quality specialist
Quality specialist is a term for a profession that deals in particular with length testing technology in industry and was developed as a retraining profession with the Federal Institute for Vocational Training . Quality specialists are skilled workers for the implementation of quality strategies in industrial and craft businesses. The solution of metrological tasks in all areas of the operational process, also within the framework of the worker self-examination, and the quality assurance z. B. through the monitoring and calibration of the operational test equipment , the management of statistical evaluations and the control of quality records are part of their tasks. Participation in certification according to international standards as well as working with a PC and using special software for quality management are a matter of course.
Main tasks of the quality professional, the first article inspection , inspection equipment monitoring , incoming inspection , production monitoring , machine acceptance. In the large companies there is a separate measuring room in which quality specialists work. Learning contents are:

The training usually lasts two years. The IHK takes the final exam . As an additional qualification, certification as a quality assistant (QA certificate) by the DGQ is possible.
