Quality ring medical software

The Quality Ring Medical Software ( QMS ) is a registered association based in Kerpen NRW, in which solution providers and service providers in the healthcare sector are united. While the foundation of practice software solutions and medical measuring devices was initiated to enable an exchange of IT and medical technology, today it is about the standardization of all data exchange processes between files - service providers - networks and management companies across sector boundaries.

The purpose of the association is to develop, test, further develop and promote standards for the interoperability of IT solutions in the health system, thereby increasing the quality, efficiency and security of public health care and thus reducing its costs.

The QMS has developed the device data carrier standard (GDT), a protocol for integrating medical measuring devices into the electronic patient record . The QMS is a co-founder of SCIPHOX .

Manufacturers of medical software, consultants or service providers can use the tried and tested interface descriptions for their applications. In the case of the GDT record description, QMS eV even provide a free test module for testing.
