Qualitative mixture regulation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In qualitative mixture regulation (or quality regulation ), the performance of an internal combustion engine with a constant amount of intake air is only regulated by the amount of fuel supplied, as is the case with diesel engines and gas turbines . The amount of the mixture remains almost unchanged, the air ratio (λ), i.e. the quality of the mixture, is changed.
