The Quarienti come from the Verona area and were entered in the Tyrolean aristocratic registers in 1460. Johann de Quarientis was Archduke Ferdinand's valet . Hieronymus von Guarient fought in 1557 as Lieutenant Colonel for Ferdinand I , Johann von Q. was captain of Philip II of Spain and later Lieutenant Colonel of the City Guard of Vienna under Emperor Matthias . Franz Anton von Quarient was an imperial councilor, secret trainee lawyer and Lower Austrian sub-marshal . Ignatius Christoph Freiherr von Guarient und Räal was imperial court war councilor and sent to Moscow in 1698 and to the porte in 1706 .

The coat of arms of the Quarienti consists of a quartered shield, field 1 and 4 gold with a Moor's head with a headband. In fields 2 and 3, white, red and black are divided diagonally.

Above a crowned open helmet with open wings, the right one black with a gold bar, the left one red with a silver bar, in between on the crown two lovebirds holding a gold ring. The helmet covers are black and gold on the right, silver and red mixed on the left.
