KK Quintet ( Japanese 株式会社 ク イ ン テ ッ ト , Kabushiki kaisha Kuintetto ; from English for quintet ) is a Japanese developer studio for computer games founded in 1989 .

Company history

Quintet excelled especially in the 1990s with high-quality games for the publisher Enix (now Square Enix ). The website of the studio www.quintet.co.jp has not been updated since 2002 and is no longer online, so it can be assumed that the studio will be dissolved.

The founders of Quintet originally split off from Nihon Falcom Corporation and were responsible for the first two games in the Ys and Asteka (Tombs & Treasure) series , among other things . Today the Quintet employees are still involved in the development of various games, for example Super Robot Wars or Mystic Heroes .
