Quintus Castricius Manilianus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quintus Castricius Manilianus was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .

A military diploma shows that Manilianus was in command of the Cohors I Cilicum around 148/153 , which at that time was stationed in the province of Moesia inferior . When the diploma was issued, however, he had already given up command of the unit ( cui praefuit ); a successor had not yet been appointed at this point. Manilianus came from Carthage .
