Marcus Claudius Regulus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Marcus Claudius Regulus (full name form Marcus Claudius Marci filius Palatina Regulus ) was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 1st century AD .

A military diploma dated September 16, 94 proves that Regulus 94 was in command of the Cohors I Cilicum , which at that time was stationed in the province of Moesia superior . Regulus was inscribed in the tribe of Palatina . According to Paul Holder , based on the Palatina tribe, it can be assumed that Regulus was the descendant of a freedman.
