Quintus Iulius Bovius Avitus was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .

A military diploma dated July 5, 115, shows that Avitus 115 was the commander of the Ala I Batavorum , which was stationed in the province of Pannonia superior at that time .
