Quintus Minucius Esquilinus
According to tradition, Quintus Minucius Esquilinus Augurinus (* around 495 BC; † after 457 BC) was a Roman politician in the 5th century BC. Chr.
Minucius belonged to the plebeian family of the Minucians . He was allegedly the son of the consul from 492 BC. BC, Publius Minucius Augurinus , and the brother of Lucius Minucius Esquilinus Augurinus , the suffect consul of the year 458 BC. Chr.
In 457 BC Minucius was elected consul together with Gaius Horatius Pulvillus and is said to have fought against the Aequer during his tenure . No further information is known about him.
The consulates of the Minucians are - according to the unanimous opinion within the scientific community - all to be removed from the consull lists, as they were later, probably around 300 BC. Were interpolated. In the early phase of the republic only patricians could get to the consular office, but the gens Minucia was clearly plebeian.
