The building, named after the builder Peter Schmitz Schmitz Hof , is a listed building and is located in the Thorr district in the district town of Bergheim in the Rhein-Erft district .

history

Farmer Peter Schmitz built the farmstead in 1856. His descendants still live there today. The house is a former agricultural property. The date 1923 in the lintel of the plaster framing indicates that the house was heavily rebuilt at that time.

architecture

The brick building is plastered and painted red today. The facade is structured by five window axes and a central entrance with a skylight and elaborate plaster framing. The windows also have plaster frames and are combined by connecting sill cornices. To the east is a low, plastered farm building with a round arched entrance. A flower relief can be seen in the wedge of the driveway. A three-wing farm building surrounds the courtyard.
