The Rübezahl-Schanze in Janské Lázně (German: Johannisbad) , Czechoslovakia , was a ski jumping hill of size K 50 .
history
The ski jump was built in 1921. In 1925 it was the venue for the first Nordic World Ski Championships . The longest jump was made by the German-Czech František Wende in 1927 with a distance of 55 meters. In 1931 the Czech championships and in 1939 the championships of the Main Association of German Winter Sports Clubs of the Czechoslovak Republic (HDW) were held there.
After a repair after the Second World War, a fundamental redesign was carried out in 1956 by the Czech architect and ski jumping hill designer Karel Jarolímek (1888–1970). After that, the ski jump was still in operation until 1965 and was later demolished.
