Redilution

In process and food technology , concentrates , distillates or lyophilisates are restored to their original concentration by redilution .

A powder or a liquid which contains one or more desired substances in high concentration or consists of these substances in pure form is brought into a standardized substance concentration by adding demineralized water , which corresponds to the general public opinion.

In this way, transport costs , e.g. B. in fruit juices , which have to be transported from the producer to the consumer countries, saved. Or expensive storage space is made superfluous, e.g. B. with distillates.
