Rudiger Maresch

Rüdiger Maresch (* 1952 ) is an Austrian politician ( Greens ). He has been a member of the State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council since 2001 .

Rüdiger Maresch is an AHS teacher for English, history and political education. According to his own statements, he has his political roots in the student left of the 1970s, in the discussion about Zwentendorf and Hainburg, and was active in numerous citizens' initiatives and the Alternative List . He was also a founding member of the Vienna and Austrian teachers' initiative and a non-party trade unionist. Rüdiger Maresch was club chairman of the Alsergrunder Greens until 2001 and that year moved to the state parliament and local council. He is environmental spokesman in the Green Club in the town hall and was deputy chairman of the Agenda 21 association in Vienna .

Rüdiger Maresch is married and has three children.
