Rüdiger Preisler

Rüdiger Preisler (born 1945 in Santiago de Chile ) is a German sculptor , graphic artist and painter .

Life

Rüdiger Preisler came to West Berlin with his family in 1954 . In 1961 he met the painter Curt Echtermeyer (1896–1971) here, who became his mentor and close friend. From 1970, Preisler attended the State Academy for Graphics, Printing and Advertising in Berlin (today UdK Berlin ) with Konrad Schüler. Since 1974 he has been working freelance in Berlin. From 1987 to 1988 he received a studio scholarship at Künstlerhaus Bethanien Berlin, with a subsequent exhibition of the installation between walls . His art is concrete-constructive , minimalist .
