Rüdiger Zakrzewski

Rüdiger Zakrzewski (born November 29, 1946 in Heiligenwald ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

biography

Zakrzewski attended elementary school from 1952 to 1961 and then completed an apprenticeship as a decorator, which he completed in April 1964. After his military service (1966/67) he worked as a decorator, graphic artist and trainer for a company in the advertising sector.

Zakrzewski, who had been a member of the Trade Union for Banks and Insurance Companies since 1961 and already had several years of experience as a youth representative, was trained as a trade union secretary from 1968 and in 1971 district secretary in Saarbrücken and assistant to the DGB state board. In 1972 he moved to IG Metall Saarbrücken as secretary, whose 1st authorized representative he was from 1992 to 2005.

From 1993 to 2005 Zakrzewski was also chairman of the board of the Saarland Chamber of Labor and, in this context, co-founder in 1997 and until 2005 chairman of the INFO Institute at the Saarland University of Applied Sciences (HTW), and from 1993 to 2006 chairman of the Saarland technology advisory office "Best ".

In 1961 Zakrzewski joined the SPD. Among other things, he was chairman of the Heiligenwalder Young Socialists, deputy chairman of the SPD district executive committee and deputy state chairman of the AFA. He has been a member of the Heiligenwald SPD executive committee since 1964 and was first chairman of the SPD Heiligenwald from 1971 to 1997. In 1998 he was elected honorary chairman of the local association.

From 1974 to 1990 Zakrzewski was on the Schiffweiler municipal council. From 1990 he became a member of the Saarland state parliament, to which he belonged for three legislative periods until 2015. There he worked in the coal and steel sector, in the Saar Community Initiative, social policy and the Saar-Lor-Lux-Wallonie interparliamentary council. From 2006 until his retirement in 2012 he was the mayor of Heiligenwald.

Zakrzewski has been married to his wife Doris since April 1967, father of daughter Nicole, and grandfather of two (Nadine and Kevin).

He is the honorary founder and today honorary chairman of a karate club "Hisatake", long-time chairman and today president of the soccer club SC 07 Heiligenwald, co-founder and honorary member of the miners 'club Heiligenwald, president of the big leisure club the "Rancher", co-founder of the Kunstfreunde Heiligenwald and founder and chairman of the friends' association "Historic Itzenplitz Mine"

In 2003 Zakrzewski was awarded the Willi Brand Medal of Merit by the SPD and in 2006 by the state government with the Saarland Order of Merit.
