Armaments Council of the Bundeswehr
The Armaments Council was a high ministerial body in the Bundeswehr . Under the chairmanship of the Bundeswehr Inspector General , the cross-divisional activities to ensure the material sustainability of the Bundeswehr were coordinated. In addition to the military leadership council and the deployment council , it was one of three bodies on which the inspector general of the Bundeswehr relied in order to carry out his tasks, whereby he was responsible for the decisions.
The Armaments Council was created in 2005 as part of the transformation of the Bundeswehr by the then Defense Minister Peter Struck through the Berlin decree . With effect from April 1, 2012, the Armaments Council was repealed by the Dresden decree of Defense Minister Thomas de Maizière .
