The guidelines for the construction of roads - part: landscape maintenance ( RAS-LP for short ) are a technical set of rules valid in Germany for observing the interests of nature conservation and landscape maintenance when designing and building a road . They are published by the Research Association for Roads and Transportation .

The RAS-LP is currently divided into three sections. Section 1 (accompanying landscape management planning) was withdrawn in February 2012. It will be replaced by the 'Guidelines for the accompanying landscape maintenance planning in road construction (RLBP)'.

The second section consists of three chapters and an appendix. The first chapter deals with the landscape maintenance implementation planning (planting plan). In the next chapter, the connections between the landscape maintenance work will be mentioned. Measures for the development and maintenance of biotopes is the subject of the third chapter. Working documents and examples can be found in the appendix.

A RAS-LP-3 was not introduced. Instead, the old guideline RAS-LG-3 (guidelines for the construction of roads - part: landscaping, section 3: living shoring) from 1983 continues to apply.

Section four consists of four chapters and an appendix. First of all, the first chapter defines goals and principles. Then, in the second chapter, regulations for construction site equipment or construction site clearance as well as earthworks are shown . The third chapter deals with protective measures during construction. In the last chapter, further structural measures are explained. The appendix provides references to regulations and standards.
