RIS (file format)
RIS (Research Information System Format) is a standardized file format for reference management and the export of bibliographic data. The format is structured in such a way that the corresponding information follows after certain predefined field names ( tags ) made up of two letters.
example
Example for “Albert Einstein: The Basis of General Relativity . In: Annalen der Physik , 49/1916, pp. 769–822 "
TY - JOUR TI - Die Grundlage der allgemeinen Relativitätstheorie AU - Einstein, Albert PY - 1916 SP - 769 EP - 822 JO - Annalen der Physik VL - 49 ER -
Example tags
The central RIS tags can be found below. The meaning of the tags partly differs according to the document type, e.g. For example, AU is used for “Editor” in the “Edited Book” type. Additional tags are defined for some document types. The day TY must appear at the beginning and the day ER must appear at the end of the data record. The other tags can be in any order.
