In 1995 the club rose to the first Croatian league for the first time in the club's history. Two years later, the sponsor Zrinski left the club and handed over the naming rights to the new sponsor, a veterinary station from the city. Since then the club has been called "Perutnina Pipo IPC".
In its long club history, the club reached the qualification for the first Yugoslav league three times, but always lost. In 1983 the club won the Croatian Cup.
