RSS editor

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An RSS editor is a computer program that can be used to create and edit web feeds in RSS format offline (i.e. on the local computer). Such programs are also called desktop RSS editors. Most of the time, RSS feeds are automatically generated from databases by content management systems (CMS) . Another common source of RSS feeds is blogs . However, there are also numerous manually created RSS feeds (mostly with editorial content) that are maintained offline. After editing or creating such a feed in an RSS editor, the feed file is usually transferred to the web server via FTP . Most RSS editors offer a corresponding, integrated function for this.
