Rab Kahana
Rab Kahana was a Babylonian Amora of the 6th generation and lived and worked in Pum Nahara (close to Nehardea ) around 400 AD .
Several Amoraans existed by the name Kahana, three of which are considered significant. All of these cannot always be precisely distinguished in research.
The kahana discussed here was of priestly descent and has gained importance as a teacher of Aschi .
Presumably he was a pupil of Papa and Huna b. Yehoshua .
