Radha (wife of Adhiratha)
Radha ( Sanskrit राधा Rādhā ) is a figure in Indian mythology , in the Mahabharata she appears as the foster mother of Karna .
Radha is the wife of the charioteer Adhiratha . She sees an infant drifting down the aisle in a basket and pulls him out, since the couple have not yet had any children, they raise him together. The child is Karna, the son of the sun god Surya and the Kunti . After they have adopted him, Radha and Adhiratha also have children of their own.
