Hans-Heinrich Otte

Hans-Heinrich Otte (born January 23, 1926 in Lübeck ; † March 7, 2020 there ) was a German economist and auditor . Before and during his studies he was a soccer player .

Life

Hans-Heinrich Otte initially did a commercial apprenticeship. After his military service in World War II , he did his Abitur at the Johanneum in Lübeck and studied economics at the University of Göttingen . In 1952 he joined the auditing company Deutsche Warentreuhand in Hamburg, which he developed into BDO AG auditing company . In 1961 he became a board member, 1969 chairman of the board, and from 1992 to 2006 he was chairman of the supervisory board. He was Honorary Chairman of the BDO International network for life and Honorary Chairman of BDO Deutsche Warentreuhand AG.

Otte remained connected to his hometown Lübeck and was chairman of the St. Marien building association for decades. He was a member of VfB Lübeck for more than eighty years. In the Oberliga Nord he played twice for this club in 1947/48 and at times he was part of the Göttingen 05 squad .
