Radical Left Berlin

The radical left Berlin (RLB) (spelling: radical left | berlin) is a radical left , autonomous group from Berlin . It was founded at the end of 2014.

It pursues the goal of being an organizational pool for left activists of various currents in order to overcome the isolation of small groups. According to the Berlin Office for the Protection of the Constitution , former members of the Antifascist Left Berlin and the Antifascist Revolutionary Action Berlin are trying to organize themselves here together.

The Office for the Protection of the Constitution also describes it as remarkable that ideological and strategic differences are being put aside in the group in favor of cooperation. While the protection of the constitution said at the end of 2014 that the unity of the group was the militancy, this was explicitly no longer mentioned as a central element in the later published report on the protection of the constitution. The group responded to the accusation of militancy with an open letter in which it said: “No, it is not the militancy that unites us, we are united by the simple recognition that the circumstances as they are are not good . That it is bad as it is and that it should be abolished as it is. "

In the area of anti-fascism , the group takes part in demonstrations and actions against neo-Nazi activities. At the demonstration in memory of the murdered squatter Silvio Meier , the RLB made its first appearance in 2014. With regard to “social struggles”, the demand for a social center is supported, as well as protests against the G7 and on May 1st in Kreuzberg .

According to an event report by the daily newspaper Junge Welt , Marcus Staiger took part in a panel discussion as a representative or member of the radical left Berlin in 2016.
