Radio Basilisk is a private radio station in the Basel region . Owner of Radio Basilisk Betriebs AG's Matthias Hagemann . Radio Basilisk is a format radio and primarily plays hits.

history

Radio Basilisk began broadcasting on November 1, 1983. The founders were the two Basel radio pioneers Hans-Ruedi Ledermann and Christian Heeb. In 1997, Basler Zeitung and Internationale Treuhand AG each acquired 20 percent of the share capital of Radio Basilisk . This stake was dissolved again in April 2002 when the founders Heeb and Ledermann bought back the two packages. Shortly afterwards, on May 31, 2002, Radio Basilisk became the property of Tamedia AG in Zurich . This took over 100 percent of the share capital of Radio Basilisk Betriebs AG and the associated marketing organization from the founders Heeb and Ledermann. In 2007 Tamedia had to sell radio as a result of the new radio and television law coming into force to the Basel lawyer Martin Wagner, who had owned the station since January 2008. In 2010 Martin Wagner sold the station to Matthias Hagemann.

On May 2, 2013, Radio Basilisk celebrated its 30th birthday in the Basel barracks. The Basel bands We Invented Paris and Anna Rossinelli as well as the Basel singer Baschi took to the stage .
