Radio Grenouille

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Radio Grenouille is a non-commercial cultural broadcaster on 88.8 MHz in the Marseille region . Radio Grenouille articulates creative projects, workshops, radio practices and public events.

Foundation and history

Radio Grenouille was founded as a local, non-commercial cultural broadcaster in 1981 by Richard Martin, director of the Toursky Theater, also within the theaters on the outskirts of the northern districts of Marseille. Martin wanted to offer culture a voice and a free broadcaster close to the citizen, with space and expression for creativity and art.

Over the years the station has been expanded and enriched. In 1991 the funk moved to Friche la Belle de Mai , a place of interdisciplinary artistic production, open to the public. A project in the center of the new urban cultures. The historical position as a "medium for the cultural sector" was thus confirmed by radio and strengthened by this website.

The antenna and the Euphonia workshop from 1993 have been under the direction of Lucien Bertolina, a composer and sound designer, since 2002.
