Radio Television Brunei (RTB) , formerly Radio Televisyen Brunei , is the state broadcaster in Brunei . It occupies the position of public service broadcaster and reports to the Prime Minister's office .

RTB began broadcasting under the name Radio Brunei on May 2, 1957. On March 1, 1975, the name was changed to Radio Televisyen Brunei .

RTB is led by a director, who is each supported by a vice director for development and operations. The company is divided into five main areas:

  • technical service
  • Transmission and network control
  • Radio programs: one national radio station and four regional stations
  • TV programs: five TV channels RTB1 – RTB5
  • News and updates
