Radmila "Rada" Manojlović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Радмила Манојловић ; born August 25, 1985 in Požarevac , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian folk singer.

Life

Growing up in the village of Četereže , she started singing in clubs, at baptisms and at weddings all over Serbia to earn money for her family who were in financial difficulties.

In 2004 she made it to the semi-finals of the Serbian casting show Zvezde Granda. 2007 she took part again and this time came second. The twelve semi-finalists and finalists of Zvezde Granda brought out an album on which Rada could also be heard with two songs. Nikada Vise (German: Never again) and Bole ove usne neverne (German: These unfaithful lips do so hurt) became a hit and Rada became one of the most popular folk-pop singers in the Balkans. Nikada Vise was named Song of the Year 2007 and won numerous awards in 2009 and 2010, including Best Folk Singer and for her songs Deset Ispod Nule and Mesaj Mala (with Sasa Matic as Best Duet).

In addition to her musical career, Manojlović is studying economics in Kragujevac .
