Zvezde Granda

Zvezde Granda ( Grand Stars ) is a casting show by the media company Grand produkcija .

The show is broadcast on the channels Prva in Serbia, Kanal 5 in Macedonia, Pink M in Montenegro and OBN in Bosnia and Herzegovina . The show is very popular and mostly reaches dream ratings of up to 80% of viewers. The first show aired in 2004. Since then there have been more in 2005, 2007 and 2009. The titles of the candidates are mostly turbo-folk and pop songs from all countries of the former Yugoslavia .

The concept of the show goes back to the British TV show Pop Idol and resembles the German DSDS and pop stars with a jury that selects the finalists in a pre-selection across Serbia. The jury consists of six people, most of whom are singers or text writers. The second jury consists of the managing director of Grand Production and one other person. The winner of the show will be determined by telephone voting in a series of broadcasts.

Bane Mojićević won the first show. The other finalists Tanja Savić, Slavica Ćukteraš and Darko Filipović each also produced an album, with only Tanja Savić and Slavica Ćukteraš having greater success. Stevan Anđelković, Slavica Ćukteraš, Darko Filipović, Bane Mojićević and Tanja Savić were registered as "Grand Band" for the Beovizija 2006, the Serbian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest . However, they withdrew their participation at short notice because of rumors of manipulation . Bane Mojićević and Tanja Savić took part in the Beovizija 2007 with the duet "Simpatija".

2007

The third season was presented by Ena Popov and Marko Miljković , who became known through the Serbian show Veliki brat ( Big Brother ).

The winner was chosen on September 15th at Tašmajdan Sports Center. The seventeen-year-old Dušan Svilar surprisingly won with pop titles apart from the popular turbo-folk performances. Milan Stanković finished fourth, although he was the clear favorite to win. In 2010 Stanković represented Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo .

2008-2009

The fourth season began on September 20, 2008 with 37 candidates. The show was presented by last year's finalists Silvija Nedeljković and Nemanja Stevanović.

The winner of this season was announced on June 18th in the Belgrade Arena. The final was broadcast live on the Serbian broadcaster RTV Pink . Stefan Petrusić received 214,000 SMS votes from the audience, while the runner-up Ivana Pavković received 183,000 SMS votes. Saša Popovic stated on his show Narod pita that Ivana Pavković should have been the winner. More than half of the audience were girls, so the female audience voted for the male participants rather than the girls. The winner Stefan Petrušić got a luxury apartment in Belgrade, a record deal and went on tour in Serbia and neighboring countries. The runner-up Ivana Pavkovic got a new car and was allowed to go on tour with Stefan Petrušić . Singers who had also participated in Zvezde Granda in previous years sang at the final : Milan Topalović Topalko, Darko Lazić, Dušan Svilar, Milica Todorović, Milan Dincić Dinca, Branislav Mojićević.

Milan Mitrović and Ana Sević moderated the entire season . The winner got a luxury apartment in Belgrade and a record deal. Amar got almost twice as many votes as the runner-up Nemanja Anđelović. The singer Svetlana Ceca Raznatović presented him with the prize. Saša Popović announced that the winner received 168,718 and the runner-up received over 88,000 SMS votes.

There is also another season this year. The concept has been changed a little, it is similar to the talent show The Voice of Germany . Five Serbian singers sit on the jury: Aca Lukas, Zorica Brunclik, Saban Saulić, Snezana Djurišić and Dragan Stojković Bosanac.

this year the show was moderated by Sanja Kužet and Voja Nedeljkovic. All 12 candidates who made it to the final got their own song. The runner-up received a Škoda car , the winner an apartment in Belgrade and a record deal.

2015-2016

In this, the Serbian pop singer Jelena Karleuša and the Serbian singers Viki Miljković and Marija Šerifović , who won the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki, were new to the jury. In addition, the singer Lepa Brena is no longer sitting next to Saša Popović on the production jury , but Snezana Djurišić.

An adaptation of the program for children is also planned under the name "Neki Novi Klinci".
