List of TV channels

Pink International (formerly Radio-Televizija Pink , RTV Pink) is a broadcasting group based in Belgrade . Its sub-channels TV Pink (Serbia), TV Pink M (Montenegro) and TV Pink BH (Bosnia and Herzegovina) of the group are currently market leaders in the three countries mentioned.

Media group

Pink was founded in 1989 as a recording studio. On December 19, 1993, the later MP of the ruling Yugoslav United Left Party Željko Mitrović opened Radio Pink , one of the first private radio stations in the former Yugoslavia; on September 16, 1994, TV Pink began broadcasting. In the years that followed, Pink rose to become one of the largest media groups in Southeast Europe. In 1997 the Belgrade local radio station Radio Pingvin was bought and the City Records record company was founded. With the establishment of Pink TV BH in 2003 a branch was founded in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Pink TV M covers the broadcasting area of Montenegro .

program

The format radio Pink initially broadcast a program geared towards turbo folk . In the early years, TV Pink also mainly broadcast a light entertainment program consisting of films, music programs, talk shows and TV series . For a long time, the series on offer was determined by Latin American telenovelas . In the few political broadcasts, the personal connection with the Milošević regime also made itself felt ideologically. The entertainment program at the time, which also promoted prominent turbo-folk stars, in particular Ceca , is seen by academic observers as one of the decisive factors for the ethno-national reorientation of the Serbian media culture.

A few years ago, however, TV Pink revised its program. TV Pink became a pioneer by including Croatian programs in its program. TV Pink is now the program with the greatest audience reach in Serbia.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, TV Pink BH is the most watched full TV program among the Serbian population.

Well-known journalists

At Pink, among others, Biljana Obradović began her career, who is considered a respected journalist in the Serbo-Croatian-speaking area . Well-known Serbian presenters such as Tatjana Vojtehovski-Stefanov or Sanja Marinković switched to Pink with their broadcast formats.

criticism

According to the FAZ, the oligarch and managing director of Pink, Željko Mitrović, only reports positively on the Serbian President Vučić .
