Aleksandar "Saša" Matić (born April 26, 1978 in Drvar , Yugoslavia ) is a Bosnian-Serbian folk singer . Saša and his twin brother Dejan, who also sing, went blind as premature babies a few days after their birth.

biography

Matić started singing very early. He often went to concerts by the Riblja čorba band . During the Bosnian War he moved with his family to Belgrade , where he learned to play the piano. He worked in a club in the Serbian capital for three years. In 1994 he was discovered at a concert by the singer Ratko Jovanović when he was called on stage and sang the song Zajdi Zajdi . In 2001 his first album Maskara was released . In 2003 he won the competition with the song Moj Grad at the Budva Festival in Montenegro . Moj dilbere ( My Beloved ) is one of the well-known Bosnian folk songs that he interprets .

Matić is married and has two daughters.
