Riblja čorba
Riblja čorba (German translation: fish soup; in Belgrade slang the expression stood for menstruation in the 1980s ) is a Serbian and formerly Yugoslav rock band.
history
The band was founded on August 15, 1978 by Bora Đorđević (vocals), Miša Aleksić (bass), Miroslav Milatović (drums) and Rajko Kojić (guitar). A year later, Momčilo Bajagić Bajaga joined the band. The band quickly became one of the most famous bands in the former Yugoslavia. Her first album Kost u grlu (Bones in the Throat) was recorded in 1979 and sold around 120,000 times.
A sad incident occurred in 1982 in Zagreb at a concert entitled Ko preživi - pričaće (Whoever Survives Will Tell About It ). 15,000 spectators came in a hall designed for 10,000 people. At the end of the concert, 14-year-old Željka Marković was trampled to death in the crowd. One of their biggest concerts took place on March 10, 2007 in the Beogradska Arena . In 1984 the band separated from Rajko Kojić and Momčilo Bajagić Bajaga.
In 2004, Bora Đorđević, a member of the Democratic Party of Serbia, was appointed Assistant to the Minister of Education.
