Fredersdorf cycling track

The Fredersdorf cycling track is located in Fredersdorf-Vogelsdorf in the Märkisch-Oderland district in Brandenburg .

history

Thoughts and plans for the construction of a cycling track originated in 1953. It was then built in 1956. The length is 333 m, the curve superelevation 21 °. The surface is made of bitumen . 3000 spectators attended the opening.

In 1957, the GDR championship in two-man team driving with the winners Hans "Hanne" Wagner / Heinz Wahl ( SC Einheit Berlin ) was held on this track . From 1967, go-cart races were also held on this track. In 1980 there was a fundamental reconstruction with renewal of the roadway. In 1982 races took place again. In 1993 the railway was reconstructed with state funds. The asphalt surface was renewed in 2009.

The RSG Sprinter Fredersdorf eV regularly organizes track bike races there. a. regularly the Albert Richter Sprinter Cup of the Association of German Cyclists .
