Fos refinery

The Fos refinery is an oil refinery in the southern French municipality of Fos-sur-Mer in the Bouches-du-Rhône department .

In 1965 the refinery went into operation. In 1985 the capacity was greatly reduced. The refinery is equipped with an FCC unit . It also produces propene . The refinery, owned by ExxonMobil , has 250 employees around the clock. It processes around five million tons of crude oil annually .
