Ragheb Subhi Alama ( Arabic راغب صبحي علامة; * June 7, 1962 in Ghoubeiri (غبيري) near Beirut , Lebanon ) has been one of the most famous singers in the Arab world since the early 1980s.

Life

At 15, Ragheb Alama started attending music college. He participated in an Art Studio program and won a gold medal for his achievements in folklore music. His rise began in 1982. He participated in Arab and international festivals.

He has produced 15 albums since the 1980s. The first successful album, which also marked his debut as an international star, was Albi A'she'aha . Since then he has released other albums that were internationally successful, e. B. Ya Hayaty , Habiby ya Nasi or Tab Leih . The American rapper Foxy Brown used parts of the song Ya Bouy on her album Hood Scriptures .

Ragheb Alama has released several chart hits since 2000 and has appeared with Andy Madadian, an Iranian singer, among others. After a long absence, he released the album Al Hob el-Kabir ("The Great Love") in 2004 , which became known internationally as the greatest Arab success up to that point. The album has two single releases, Nasseny Eldonia ("Let me forget the world") and Al Hob el-Kabir .

He went platinum for the album Albi A'she'aha and the Golden Lion of Egypt for Best Arab Singer in 1998.

Ragheb Alama is married to Jihan Alama and has two children with her.
