Framework operating plan

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The general operating plan is a term from the Federal Mining Act (BBergG) of August 13, 1980 . A general operating plan must be drawn up by the mine operator if the planned mining project requires an environmental impact assessment . This environmental impact assessment is carried out in the framework operating plan procedure , which concludes with a plan approval decision . A general operating plan is usually drawn up for a longer period (10 to 20 years) and represents the framework for the planned dismantling project.

An approved, plan-approved framework operating plan does not yet authorize the mining of the mineral resources in question . For this purpose, further, downstream main and special operating plans must be drawn up and submitted to the mining authority.
