The Raiffeisen Albania is a subsidiary of Raiffeisen Bank International AG with 91 branches (as of 2015) the largest financial services companies in Albania . The bank has around 613,000 customers (as of 2010).

history

In April 2004 Raiffeisen International acquired all shares in the state-owned Banka e Kursimeve for 126 million US dollars. Banka e Kursimeve was the largest bank in the country; In 2002 it had a market share of 56% based on total assets, measured on deposits of 63%. The institute was renamed Raiffeisen Bank in October 2004 . The logo of Raiffeisen Zentralbank Österreich is used. In 2006, Raiffeisen Leasing Sh.a. founded a subsidiary for leasing business.

The bank offers services for private customers, small and medium-sized companies and corporate customers. Since the acquisition, additional products and services - starting with ATMs and debit cards - have been introduced. The company was not allowed to engage in lending business in the years before privatization. At the end of 2011, the rebuilt division had a credit volume of almost one billion euros (134,922 million Lek ).

Raiffeisen Bank Albania managed assets of over two billion euros (322,854 million Lek) at the end of 2011.

Of the 1,471 employees in 2011, almost three quarters were women.
