Raimund Burke

Raimund Burke (born April 12, 1969 in Lingen ) is a German hard rock guitarist and arranger.

Life

Raimund Burke got his first guitar back in 1984 "because the drums in the house were too loud". In the same year he founded his first hard rock band called Inverness , together with Peter Breitenbach ( Warhead ) and Bjoern Eilen ( Rebellion ) . In 1989 he recorded his first hard rock demo in the Cottage Studio in Osnabrück. Raimund Burke came to Hamburg in 1993 and completed a contact course in popular music at the University of Music and Theater in 1990. Memberships in various groups followed, such as B. 1991 The band King Cockroach 1992-1994 Fusion rock band in Osnabrück called Zumpf ; 1994 Martelli , together with ex-Mydra singer Andre Martelli. In 1994 a tour with Markus Wolter followed. When he happened to be in the Docmaklang Studio in Osnabrück, Mourning Caress was just recording her album there and Burke spontaneously contributed a solo.

In 2016 Burke recorded a CD called The Raimund Burke Orchestra with “15 hits by the Glenn Miller Big Band - each with 10 to 14 electric guitars, all of which he played himself, with a fat hard rock sound ". He played Glenn Miller's swing classics one after the other on soundtracks as an orchestral score . The album triggered a media response in the specialist magazines. B.
