Rainer Genss
Rainer Genss is a German solo dancer.
Live and act
Genss was a circuit master in apparatus gymnastics when he discovered his interest in ballet at the age of 13. After successfully completing the Leipzig Ballet School, he became a solo dancer in the ballet of the Berlin Friedrichstadtpalast in 1976 . In the GDR he was instrumental in removing the negative image of erotic dance. Kristina Merkel was his dance partner for a long time, in 1984 the dancing couple performed at the opening event of the new Friedrichstadt-Palast.
His career ended immediately after reunification. In 1997 Genss danced at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm in the musical Wilhelm he heezes .
