Rainer Lippe (born July 15, 1960 in Kassel ) is a German ice hockey official and entrepreneur . He was a partner and managing director of Kassel Huskies , an ice hockey club from the German Ice Hockey League .

activity

Before joining the Kassel Huskies, Lippe worked as a dental technician . He then acted as managing director of medium-sized companies, including a dental technology company from Kassel, with which he was initially active as a sponsor for the "Huskies".

On July 18, 2005, Lippe took over the management of the "Huskies" and ensured the economic stability of the ice hockey club when it got into a sporting crisis and was relegated to the 2nd national ice hockey league in the 2005/06 season. Although he could not prevent relegation due to the complete restructuring of the club, both the entire coaching staff in Kassel and the traditional logo, which had to be redesigned due to the lack of trademark rights , changed with him .

Since the Kassel Huskies were denied the league license twice in the club's short history due to financial deficits and even the financial bankruptcy of the then ESG Kassel had to be recorded in 1987 , Lippe was sometimes called the "owner of the huskies" by taking over the club.

For the 2007/08 season he was promoted back to the German Ice Hockey League with Kassel . In addition, since 2007 he has been one of the investors in negotiations regarding the planned multifunctional hall in Kassel, the North Hesse Arena . In January 2010, due to the financial crisis in Kassel ice hockey, he gave up his post to Dennis Rossing - the investor for the North Hesse Arena.
