Rainer Matheisen (born November 29, 1980 in Mettmann ) is a German politician ( FDP ) and has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since 2017 .

Life

Rainer Matheisen passed his Abitur examination in 2000, civil service and an apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk followed. During his studies of German and political science at the University of Düsseldorf, he served as AStA chairman. During his term of office, the AStA took additional expenses of around 70,000 euros from reserves, which was criticized by the opposition in the student parliament at the time. Matheisen's admitted fact that he made private phone calls for more than 800 euros at the expense of the AStA was also particularly criticized.

politics

In Düsseldorf, Matheisen has been a member of the city council since 2009. In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 , he received a mandate on his party's state list. He also ran for election in the Düsseldorf III state electoral district , in which he received 4.3% ( 2010 ), 6.3% ( 2012 ) and 11.2% (2017) of the first votes.
