Rainer Schark

Rainer Schark (* 1944 in Pirna ) is a German mathematician.

Life

Rainer Schark studied mathematics and in 1972 at the Technical University of Berlin with the paper "On a function from the Diophantine Approximation" for Jörg Michael Wills and Ernst Max Mohr PhD . He then worked in the private sector.

In 1974, he received a call to the chair of mathematics for engineers at the Polytechnic victories . From 2004 to 2006 he was dean of the mathematics department. In 2008 he retired .
