Rainer Schemeit

Rainer Schemeit (born October 18, 1956 ) is an archer trainer in disabled sports .

Sporting successes

From 2002 to 2004 Rainer Schemeit worked as an assistant trainer in the German Disabled Sports Association (DBS) for Paralympic archery athletes. From 2004 he took over the position of head coach and was responsible for the national team in Paralympic archery until 2010. During this time he trained a. a. Michael Arenz , Maria Droste and Tanja Schultz , with whom he took part in the World Championships in Cheongju / KOR and in the Paralympic Games in Beijing in 2008.

Under his supervision, athletes and teams from the German Disabled Sports Association (DBS) won 3 gold, 8 silver and 14 bronze medals at Paralympic Games, World Championships and European Championships. Rainer Schemeit is currently working as a regional trainer for the Disabled Sports Association of Lower Saxony (BSN) (since 2004). He also oversees various archery projects.
