Rocket flyer Timmi is an animation - television series for children. The first broadcast took place on February 5, 2014 as part of the Sandman . The series won the EMIL children's television award in 2016.

content

In the framework of the series, which is repeated at the beginning and end of each episode, the boy Tim plays with a rocket he made himself. In the main part, astronaut Timmi and his friend Teddynaut Teddy fly through space with this rocket and visit a different planet in each episode. There they help the residents and have to leave after a short stay.

Characteristic of the series is the saying “Everything superrogerpupsokay on board?”, Which Tim calls into the cockpit of his rocket at the beginning of each episode and which is answered by rocket pilot Timmi with “Alles superrogerpupsokay on board!”.

production

The series is a co-production of the MDR with the RBB and NDR for Unser Sandmännchen . The series was produced from 2012 to 2013 by MotionWorks GmbH in Halle. Directed by Andreas Strozyk , the music is by Andreas Hoge . The 26 episodes of around four minutes in length were first broadcast in two seasons in February 2014 (season 1) and February 2015 (season 2).

reception

The medienbewusst.de initiative rated rocket flier Timmi as a “wonderful series for young viewers”. The jury of the TV award EMIL praised the “fabulous, very imaginative look that encourages you to be creative yourself”, and the series also “masters the art of conveying a clever message in a friendly way”.
