Ralf Hertel

Ralf Hertel (* 1973 ) is a German English specialist .

Life

He also taught at the Free University of Berlin , the Humboldt University of Berlin and the University of Hamburg and also worked as a journalist for the Süddeutsche Zeitung. In 2015 he was visiting professor at Academia Sinica . He was appointed Professor of English Literature at the University of Trier in 2015 .

His main teaching and research areas are Anglo-Asian Encounters, Asian-Canadian Literature and Culture, Shakespeare and Early Modern England, Contemporary / New English Literatures, and Sensuality in Literature.
